Them Dukes

David has a much cooler job than I do. He just finished working on the Dukes of Hazzard reunion special. He got to see Bo, Luke, Daisy and the General Lee. SO COOL!

Best Peanut Butter Cookies

These were really, really good. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I had to make myself stop eating these!

Big Grandma's Best Peanut Butter Cookies

1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup white sugar
1 cup Butter Flavor Crisco
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups flour (1/4 cup more if needed)

Cream together the sugars, Crisco, peanut butter.
Add the eggs and vanilla.
Sift the dry ingredients together and add gradually until blended well.
Use medium cookie scoop to scoop dough into balls.
Roll cookie dough balls into sugar.
Place on cookie sheets- do not mash with fork in normal "peanut butter cookie" fashion!
Bake at 350° oven for 11-13 minutes.

Kit Kat Bars

These are SO good. Salty and sweet. Everyone loves them. Not really like a kit kat bar, but it is still really good.

Kit Kat Bars

84 Ritz Crackers (about 2 1/2 sleeves)
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
3/4 cup butter
1/3 cup milk
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup peanut butter

Put graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, white sugar, butter and milk into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.
Put a layer of buttery round crackers in a 9x13 inch pan and pour 1/2 of the graham cracker crumb mixture over it. Put another layer of crackers and pour the remaining mixture. Add last row of crackers.
To Make Topping: Melt over low heat the butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, and peanut butter. Melt at low heat and spread over the top.
Let cool and slice into bars.
