This is my second recipe using Oikos Greek Yogurt. We really loved this quiche. I put it together the night before so all I had to do was pop it in the oven for breakfast. This was a nice guilt-free breakfast; I used low-fat sausage, 1% milk and the greek yogurt is fat-free.
- ½ pound sausage, cooked and drained
- ¾ cup colby-jack cheese, shredded
- ¾ cup smoked swiss, shredded
- 2 eggs
- ⅓ cup milk
- ½ cup Greek Yogurt
- 1 unbaked pie shell
**can freeze at this point**
Bake for 1 hour.
Dars3 – I used plain Greek yogurt
I'm assuming plain greek yogurt?
This looks delicious, I'm going to have to try it. I remember when my grandmother used to make Egg Quiches for breakfast. I can't wait to try this with the greek yogurt. By the way this is a really nice blog. Hope you can visit my blog and leave me a message.
This looks so savory and perfectly baked. My husband won't eat quiche even though I adore it. i could easily pass this off for breakfast!
I came here from LeaAnn's blog.
I was surprised at how good everything tasted with the fat-free Oikos greek yogurt. No one would ever know this quiche is lower-fat. We loved it. I might make it again this weekend.
I have to admit, when I saw the title of this post, my reaction was "oh…no……it's gonna be fatening and I'm going to want it". What a nice surprise to find it not so bad. I'm going to have to start paying more attention to these yogart people. I'll have to go to their website for some recipes.
Looks so thick and yummy. Quiche is great for breakfast on cool mornings.
