How to Make Sausage Pancakes
These pancakes are super easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. In a large skillet, cook breakfast sausage over medium-high heat until no longer pink and crumbled. Drain excess grease on a paper towel lined plate.
Sift together all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and stir in the wet ingredients. Stir until smooth.
Spray a griddle or frying pan with nonstick cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat. Scoop pancake batter onto the griddle. Sprinkle the top of the pancakes with a tablespoon of cooked sausage crumbles. When the pancake bubbles, flip it and cook until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve warm with butter and maple syrup.

I’ve been making sausage pancakes for over 50 years – they are fabulous! First time I’ve seen a recipe for them. Try these – you’ll love them!
This is the way to eat pancakes! I've been doing this for a little while now…saw it on some food show–I think it was "Man vs. Food" and now we're hooked! My husband thinks normal pancakes are too sweet but even he's a fan of these.
I don't know why, but I've never put anything in pancakes but blueberries. I like all of your ideas including the savory ones and I'm not at all surprised these were outstanding.
I wish my hubby would eat pancakes. He's a fuddy duddy when he says he doesn't like something. He won't try it all.
They sound good to me. Maybe I can make them and smack, lick and oooh my way into getting him to taste them.
