Lasagna Flatbread

I decided to mix up pizza night and try this Lasagna Flatbread.  I've had this recipe in mind for a while, but I never got around to making it.  I could kick myself!  It was SO good!!

This was kind of like an open-faced calzone.  We both loved it.  I used sausage and part of a jar of marinara for the meat sauce.  Feel free to use hamburger instead of sausage.  You can also use more or less meat and sauce depending on how meaty and saucy you want the lasagna.  This recipe is going in our regular dinner rotation.  Give this a try next time you want lasagna without all the work!

Lasagna Flatbread
(Printable Recipe)

15 oz ricotta cheese (can use cottage cheese)
8 oz shredded mozzarella, divided
3 oz parmesan cheese
2 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 egg
1 lb sausage or hamburger
1/2 (26oz) jar marinara sauce
6 flatbreads

Preheat oven to 375.

Combine ricotta, 1/2 of the mozzarella, parmesan, Italian seasoning and egg.  Set aside.

In a large skillet, cook sausage or hamburger until it is no longer pink.  Drain off fat.  Stir in marinara sauce (use as more or less depending on how saucy you want this).  Set aside.

Assemble the flatbreads.  Spread 1/6 of the cheese mixture on top of flatbread. Top with 1/6 of meat sauce and sprinkle with 1/6 of remaining mozzarella cheese.  Repeat for remaining flatbreads.

Bake for 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted on top.

  1. Looks absolutely delicious! Do you remember what brand of Flatbread you used? Yours looks much more 'fluffy' than the ones I get. Thanks so much! (love your site!)
