This vanilla sugar is over the top delicious! It is packed full of amazing vanilla beans. This recipe uses the entire vanilla bean, not just the caviar inside the bean. It only takes about 5 minutes to make. Super simple!
I buy my vanilla beans from beanilla.com, but the grocery store and Whole Foods also carries vanilla beans. This is great in coffee, tea, cookies or even broiled on buttered toast. I plan on giving this away as gifts for Mother's Day this weekend.
1 cup sugar
2 vanilla beans
Cut vanilla beans into 8-10 small pieces. Place in food processor with sugar. Process for 3-5 minutes, until vanilla beans are pulverized. Sift sugar in mesh sieve to remove any vanilla bean pods. Store in an airtight container.
