This Sour Cream Noodle Bake is the epitome of comforting, homestyle goodness. Tender egg noodles layered with a rich and savory meat sauce, all blanketed in a creamy combination of cottage cheese and sour cream. The flavors dance in harmony, creating a dish that’s pure comfort on a plate. Chicken Legs especially loved this. He has requested it again next week. I thought it tasted like a cross between lasagna and the Spasagna I made a while back. Either way, we both really enjoyed this! It has definitely earned a spot in our dinner rotation.
How to Make Sour Cream Noodle Bake
This beef casserole is super easy to make with only a few ingredients. Bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add the pasta to the pot and cook according to the package directions for al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease. Add black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and tomato sauce to the pan. Simmer for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix together the cooked pasta with cottage cheese and sour cream. Spread the noodles in a baking dish. Top the pasta layer with the meat sauce. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole. Bake in a preheated oven until bubbly and the cheese is melted. Garnish with parsley and green onions.

I love your blog, too! LOVE LOVE LOVE your recipes. Just made six of them (w/few modifications for my brother and sister in law, no dairy, to beef) they were FANTASTIC!!!!Thank you so much! Please keep up the great blog. P.s. no problems here either.
Very good recipe. The only things I changed was to double the tomato sauce, add onion and 1 tsp. of sugar. Will be making this again!!
Loved this. Hubby said I could make it again so I'm sure I will!

Sherry – I don't like cold cottage cheese either, but it is great baked in dishes. If you don't like the curds, you can blend it in the food processor.
If you still don't want to give it a try, you can substitute ricotta or double the sour cream.
Austie – LOL! I'm so glad it was a hit.
We don't like cottage cheese. What would you substitute for it? Thanks.
