Behold “The Crack Burger” – burgers packed full of cheddar cheese, bacon and ranch flavor.  These burgers tasted fantastic!  They were super juicy and packed full of great flavor.  We topped the burgers with lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayo.

What does CRACK mean?

If a recipe has “crack” in the title it means that the recipe has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the ingredients. It all started with my Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck.

According to the dictionary, the definition of crack is “of superior excellence or ability”. We think the flavor combination of cheddar, bacon, and ranch fits this definition! This recipe is most definitely of superior excellence!

Make sure to use at least ground chuck – the burgers will fall apart if your beef if too lean.  I also suggest flipping the burgers only once – allow the burger to cook for 4 minutes and then flip and cook an additional 4 minutes for medium or 5 minutes for medium-well burgers.  This recipe is not to be missed!

  2. I made these delicious burgers tonight, with one difference… I took a 9×13 pan ,lined it with foil, and then sprayed it with non-stick spray, then spread out the whole amount of prepared meat into the square of the pan,and baked them… when done I cut the square into 4 equal squares… ,easier when it's is a really hot and muggy afternoon, and we wish to cook indoors…. So glad you shared the recipe , thanks 😉
