This is SO easy and it is TO DIE FOR delicious! It is probably in my top 5 favorite chicken recipes. I was able to assemble this in the time it took for the oven to preheat. This could also be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. I think that would only make the chicken taste better to sit in the honey mustard mixture all day! Make sure to spoon some of the sauce that is in the pan over the chicken when serving. You don't want to waste any of that goodness. Chicken Legs cleaned his plate in record time and requested to have this again the next night. It was that good! This is obviously going in our regular dinner rotation.

(Printable Recipe)
4 boneless chicken breast
3/4 cup honey
1/2 cup Dijon mustard

1/2 tsp paprika
lemon pepper to taste

Season chicken breasts with lemon pepper. Place in 9x13 baking dish.
Combine honey, mustard, lemon juice and paprika. Pour over chicken. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Top each chicken breast with 1 Tablespoon of bacon and 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese. Continue to bake until cheese is starting to brown (about 10 minutes).

This is exactly the kind of recipe I like - easy and tasty! Gonna whip it up this weekend!!
Another great looking recipe.
Have a good weekend.
I know what I'm making tonight! Think I'll let them sit in the honey goodness today and see how it tastes tonight. Thanks for sharing!
This does look good (and sounds good too). I make a wine chicken that my family always requests.
This is in the oven right now! Just have to say that I always LOVE your recipes! Many of our favorites are Plain Chicken dishes - love knowing that anything you post will likely be a home run at our house! Thanks!!
This sounds like Outback's Alice Springs Chicken! I will def make this one!
Can't wait to try this! Sound so good!
OK, now I'm hungry! Dinner time and you provided me w/the recipe just in time!
This looks SO good!!
Made something just like this before and it is so good. Thanks for posting. Putting it on my to do list.
This was delicious! It reminded me of Alice Springs Chicken at Outback. We will definitely be making this again!!
Does it matter if the chicken breasts are fresh or frozen when you start?
Rachel - I have only made this with thawed chicken. If you use frozen, you will need to increase the cooking time by at least 10 minutes so the chicken can thaw. The time will depend on how thick your chicken is. You will just have to play with the time if you use frozen chicken. I usually just take my chicken out of the freezer and put it in the fridge the night before or the morning I plan on making this.
Thanks, Stephanie! I'm making it tonight and I'm excited to try it!
I made this for dinner tonight. It was amazing! My 5 year old loved it and exclaimed, "I want this for breakfast!"
Sonya - sounds like a success!!
Can I make this with honey mustard that I already have, rather than honey and dijon mustard?
Made it a few weeks ago. I was not impressed.
Made this twice. My husband and I love it!
Made this twice. My husband and I love it!
Does it have a really strong mustardy flavor. I love honey mustard that does not have the strong mustard flavor to it. Is this something I should skip?
calkari - this doesn't have a strong mustard flavor (I hate mustardy stuff too). The honey is the dominant flavor. I think this chicken is super delicious!
Thanks so much Stephanie:) I'll plan on trying this in the next couple days!!
That looks delicious! Thank you for sharing!
That looks delicious! Thank you for sharing!
My husband is getting seriously tired of chicken (its the cheapest thing here in hawaii), so i've been looking for new ways to mix it up... i've been everywhere from panko to brown sugar, to attempting to make chickfila (be cause it doesn't exist here and we absolutely love it). i can say that i tried this recipe today (trial to see if my husband would actually eat it) and the chicken turned out absolutely amazing! unfortunately i didn't get the chance to try it with the lemon juice (didn't have any). this definitely will show him that there is a lot more left to chicken than just panko.
thank you thank you thank you
I made this last Monday night for my Dad when he came through on his way back to Brasil (long story). I added mushrooms at the same time as the bacon bits, but otherwise didn't change a thing. This is absolutely delicious!!! It tastes very much like Alice Springs Chicken at Outback. I'm in love with this dish! My dad was highly impressed! The only thing I'll do differently next time is decrease the lemon juice just a tiny bit. Thank you so much for a fabulous recipe!
Made it tonight. Pretty awesome stuff. Thanks for all the wonderful tasty receipes!!
Hi Steph,
Do you think you would do a post of your top 5 chicken recipes? I would love to read that....
I'm eating this right now. It is yummy. It has a nice flavor and it was easy to make. I did add some crushed red pepper to it, but I like a little spice. Thanks for the recipe!
