Easy Cornbread Recipe

This bread is a cornbread-ish version of one of my favorite quick bread recipes – Butter Dips.  Like the Butter Dips, this bread is super simple to make. It only has 4 ingredients, and you probably have all of them in your pantry right now. This only takes a minute to make and goes with just about anything. I make this quick bread all the time!

How to Make Cornbread without Cornmeal

These Creamed Corn Butter Dips are ridiculously easy to make. Start with melting a stick of butter in a baking dish. Next combine Bisquick, eggs, and creamed corn. Pour the batter into the pan. The butter will come up on top of the batter. That is OK. Pop the cornbread in the oven and that is it!

  • This is not a sweet cornbread. If you like sweet cornbread, feel free to add a little sugar to the batter. You can also add some honey to the batter. YUM!
  • Can substitute Gluten-Free Bisquick for gluten-free bread.

  1. I’m actually going to do this as my top for individual chicken pot pies….. Experimenting is 80% of the fun of cooking!!! 🤣♥️🤣♥️

  2. I don’t have any Bisquick but I have a pkg of cornbread mix. Wonder if I could use that then follow ref recipe instructions

  3. I only have a half of a can of creamed corn, do you think it would turn out ok if I just use that? Or do I need to make some adjustments?

  4. Made this to go with Chili the night before Thanksgiving. I think I got carried away with the Cayenne Pepper in the chili because we couldn't eat much of it so this ended up being most of our dinner! It was VERY good and is going in the 5 star recipe file.

  5. Omg. This so simple and Soo good!! Eating a warm piece right now. My new favorite cornbread recipe!

  6. We made this last night and it was so good! Next time I may add some green chili or jalapeno to spice it up. Super yummy as is though. Definitely making again soon. Thank you!
