Ham & Cheese Biscuit Bake

This Ham and Cheese Biscuit Bake is super delicious. We had this for lunch last weekend, but it would also be great for breakfast or a quick dinner. This was really simple to make. It only took me about 5 minutes to whip together. You probably have all the ingredients to make this in your fridge. Feel free to switch out the swiss cheese for either cheddar or mozzarella. I think it would taste just as delicious! I don't recommend assembling this ahead of time. I have found that the refrigerated biscuits don't rise as well if they aren't baked shortly after taking them out of the can. Enjoy!

Ham and Cheese Biscuit Bake
serves 6
(Printable Recipe)

  • 1 can Grands Jr. flaky biscuits (10 biscuits)
  • 8 oz diced ham
  • 1 cup grated swiss cheese
  • 2 tbsp honey mustard dressing
  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9x13-inch pan with cooking spray.

Separate biscuits and cut into quarters. Place biscuits in bottom of pan. Top with ham and swiss cheese. Whisk together eggs, honey mustard and heavy cream. Pour over biscuits. Top with parmesan cheese.

Bake for 25-30 minutes.

  1. I don't quite understand how the biscuits are browned and on top considering the directions state they are on the bottom of the pan.

  2. Tana - it is only one layer of biscuits. There isn't enough liquid to completely cover them. They bake up and get a little brown on top. Enjoy!

  3. Sounds like a dish I want to make for dinner. Possibly tonight. But what is a good substiture for honey mustard? We don't care too much for it. I so enjoy your recipes. Thanks for posting them.

  4. Karen, i thought about that. we don't care for the honey mustard. i was thinking maybe a sprinkle of chives and/or playing around with the cheese- maybe a bit of pepper jack.

  7. I made this dish this morning for brunch. My egg/cream mixture didn't set in the middle after 25 min.
I doubled the recipe and used a bigger pan, so I still only had one layer of biscuits.
I also used bacon and monterey jack cheese instead of ham and used mustard powder and onion granules to give it flavor. My kids don't like prepared mustard.
Other than the cooked all the way thru issue, it tasted great! Thanks!

  8. This was soooo good! It got rave reviews at girls lake weekend and has been requested again for girls beach week! I couldn't find already shredded Swiss and I'm lazy so I used the Italian blend cheese and it was delicious! Will make again and again!
