Pin This RecipeThis a variation on my favorite Ranch Oyster Crackers. I swapped out the oyster crackers for Cheez-Its and added some red pepper flakes for a little heat. They were fantastic! I love Cheez-Its, so I know I would love them.
This is super easy to make and can be made days in advance. These can pack a lot of heat, so adjust the red pepper accordingly. I used a lot and they were HOT. I suggest starting with a tablespoon of red pepper flakes and tasting the crackers. You can add more if you are a spicy heat lover.

Equipment:
Ingredients:
- ½ cup canola oil
- 1 (1-oz) package ranch dressing mix
- 3 to 5 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 (13.7oz) box Cheez-Its crackers
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 250ºF.
- In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients. Spread crackers on large rimmed baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through. Cool and store in a resealable bag.

SO GOOD!!! SERIOUSLY!! Help me….I can’t stop eating them! I went w 1/2 cup melted butter and did closer to 4 or 5 tsp crushed red pepper (my daughter distracted me and I lost count haha). A couple people said too spicy for them but most of us thought they were just right! That’s what’s cool about this, you can easily increase or decrease the heat to your liking by changing the amount of crushed red pepper you add! I will make these for get togethers forever!!! Thank you! 🙂
I just made these using the ranch dressing mix and a Chipotle seasoning mix from Epicure…. They’re supposed to be for stocking stuffers, but I don’t know if they’re going to last til tomorrow!!
i used leftover bacon fat..taco seasoning..cayenne pepper for more kick..yuuuum!
I’m gonna love these, I try to buy the Chez-it Grooves, but the store doesn’t always have the flavors I like. I’ve made these before from a recipe my granddaughter gave me, but it used regular saltine crackers and it was hard to make sure the seasoning was on all of them.
I’m going to have to try that! I love Cheez-It Grooves!
For a little more spice use jalapeno, bacon ranch dressing,, ,yahoo
