Chocolate Dipped Candy Cane Cookies

I made these cookies for the Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap.  This was my first time participating and it was so much fun! I loved getting cookies from other wonderful food bloggers! YUM!

One of my all-time favorite Christmas cookies are Peppermint Joe-Joe’s from Trader Joe’s. We make a special trip over to Atlanta after Thanksgiving just to load up on Peppermint Joe-Joes. They are SOOO good! These cookies reminded me a lot of Peppermint Joe Joe’s. The best part is that these cookies are super easy to make! They don’t even require an oven!

Let me give you a tip for easily crushing candy canes. Unwrap a box of candy canes, throw them in your food processor and let them go for about 15-20 seconds. You will have finely crushed candy canes for less than a dollar! A word of caution, don’t open the lid to the food processor immediately. Give it a minute for all the candy cane dust to settle. Otherwise you will be smelling candy canes for days! 🙂
