I love to make the Pepperoni Pizza Crescents that are on the blog. They are so quick and easy. I was thinking about how to change them up and thought about adding sausage. I went to the store and bought some breakfast sausage links and whipped up these crescents. They were AWESOME! I think I like them better than the original. There is no need to cook the sausage first; it will bake right along with the crescent rolls. (I promise) I love these for lunch and dinner. These would be also great for watching all the football bowl games this weekend and New Year's Eve snacks!
Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza Crescents
- 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
- 32 slices turkey pepperoni
- 8 breakfast sausage links, uncooked
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese, cut in half
- garlic powder
- red pepper flakes
- pizza sauce
Preheat oven to 375.
Unroll crescent rolls and separate into 8 triangles. Place half of mozzarella cheese slice on each crescent roll. Top cheese with 4 slices of turkey pepperoni. Place sausage link on top of pepperoni and roll up. Sprinkle crescent rolls with garlic powder and red pepper flakes, if desired.
Place rolls on baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve with a side of warm pizza sauce.
