How to Make Honey Ham & Cheese Quiche

This recipe is super duper easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Place diced ham and shredded cheese in the bottom of a pie crust. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, sour cream, honey mustard dressing, salt, and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the ham. Place the quiche on a baking pan and bake in a preheated oven until set. Garnish with parsley.

Helpful Tips & Frequently Asked Questions

  • I like to sauté the cooked ham in the skillet before adding it to the pie crust. I find that some cooked ham has high water content and can make the quiche runny.
  • For the honey mustard, I used Ken’s Honey Mustard Dressing.
  • I did not thaw or precook the frozen pie crust before filling it.
    • You can use a store-bought pie crust or homemade pie dough. Either is just fine.
  • Feel free to add your favorite veggies to the quiche:
    • onion
    • bell pepper
    • mushrooms
    • broccoli
    • spinach
    • green onions
  • I use sharp cheddar cheese in this dish. You can use any cheese you like – swiss cheese, gouda cheese, or gruyere cheese are all delicious.
  • Can Homemade Quiche be made in advance? Yes! You can assemble the quiche ahead of time and refrigerate it overnight.
  • Can Homemade Quiche be frozen? Yes! You can make this quiche ahead of time and freeze t baked or unbaked for later.
    • I prefer to freeze the quiche unbaked. Assemble the quiche and place in the freezer. Once the quiche is frozen place it in a freezer bag. When ready to bake, thaw the quiche in the refrigerator before baking as directed below.
    • To freeze the baked quiche, cool the quiche completely and wrap the pie plate with plastic wrap and aluminum foil. When ready to reheat, thaw and reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
  • How long will Homemade Quiche last? The quiche will keep 3 to 4 days covered in the refrigerator.

What to Serve with Quiche

This easy quiche recipe is always a hit at our house. I always have one in the freezer for an easy meal. When it comes to serving this quiche, the possibilities are endless. For a classic brunch or breakfast spread, consider serving it alongside savory cheese grits, roasted potatoes, and a fresh fruit salad. If you’re planning a cozy dinner, roasted asparagus adds a touch of elegance to the plate, while also providing a slight crunch that complements the quiche’s smooth texture. Alternatively, you can serve it with a crisp green salad with a light vinaigrette. No matter what you serve alongside this dish, it is sure to be a hit.

  1. Very easy and my LO’s favorite. Make it all the time because my picky 4 yr-old requests this quiche.

Have you ever made this as a crustless quiche? I turned this recipe into mini quiches for LO to have whenever [lunch at Pre-K, dinner when doesn’t like what we’re having]. Problem is, LO doesn’t love crust and that’s half the mini quiche.

  2. I liked it, but thought it could have used more flavor. Next time I may add green onions. I’m not one to use hot sauce often, but I put a small am out of “Frank’s” on it and…it enhanced the quiches flavor. Thank you for sharing.

  3. I can't wait to try your quiche!! I like the idea of sauteing the ham and the addition of honey mustard is wonderful.
