Pin This RecipeThis is a baked version of our favorite dip, Crack Dip. If you aren’t familiar with our Crack Dip, it is a dip that is made with sour cream, ranch, cheese and bacon. It is a must at all of our tailgates. Everyone loves it. Everyone!
This dip is super easy to make with only five ingredients – sour cream, bacon, ranch dressing mix, cheddar cheese, and cream cheese. Mix everything together and spread into a baking dish. Pop the dip in the oven and that is it! You can mix this dip up ahead of time and throw it in the oven when you are ready to serve it.
I am going out on a limb and saying that I might like this better than the original version. I can’t believe it! This dip was SO good. I mean, how can you go wrong with warm cheesy, Ranch, bacony goodness?! We ate this Warm Crack Dip with Fritos, but it is equally delicious with tortilla chips. If you want to keep this dip low-carb/keto-friendly, use some bell pepper slices, celery, pork rinds, or endive.

Just making sure the sour cream amount is correct. Should it be 2 cups, which is 16oz or 2 containers, which is 32oz? The non-heated version only calls for two cups of sour cream for a double recipe.
ONE (16-oz) container of sour cream as listed in the recipe
Another silly question: How many slices of bacon for 3/4 cup cooked chopped bacon ?
about 12 slices – just depends on the thickness of the slices.
Easy and tasty recipe
Can i make this in a crock pot?
yes
Always a party hit! Thank you!
Ps. I add Green onions, it adds to the deliciousness.
Can this be frozen?
Trying this weekend for my daughter's baby shower! Can't wait to see if it's as good as it looks.
I am having about 20 people over for a party. I see the recipe says it serves 10-12. I know this will be a huge hit! Do I need to double the recipe? Will this change how long I need to bake it? Thank you! -Raegan
I would probably double the recipe for 20 people. You might need 10 extra minutes – maybe. You are just making sure the dip is hot, so just check it at 30 minutes and see if it is bubbly.
Have you tried putting this in a crockpot?
I have not made this in the slow cooker, but you definitely can.
