Easy No-Bake St. Patrick’s Day Treat

This Leprechaun Bait is guaranteed to catch even the most mischievous leprechaun. There is no way they can resist this stuff! Crispix, Lucky Charms, MMs, and almond bark. It is crazy good! And slightly addictive. This is a great treat for classmates, neighbors, or co-workers for St. Patrick’s Day. Put some in a cellophane bag and tie it up with some green ribbon. Easy and festive!

How to Make Leprechaun Bait

This snack mix is super simple to make. In a large bowl, combine Crispix cereal, Lucky Charms cereal, and mint M&Ms. Melt some almond bark and pour over the cereal mix. Toss to coat. Toss in the Lucky Charms marshmallows. Pour mixture onto wax paper or parchment. Allow to set and break up into pieces.

  • This mix uses all the marshmallows from a box of Lucky Charms and only 3 cups of the Lucky Charms cereal.  I threw away the rest of the cereal.
  • You can substitute Chex cereal for the Crispix cereal.
  • You can use almond bark or a white candy coating. I buy both at Walmart.
  • Any flavor of M&Ms will work fine.
  • Feel free to toss in some peanuts or almonds to the mix. YUM!

  1. I have a recipe but it's different than this.

2 c. corn Chex, but I'm going to use Crispix because I have it on hand
    1 c. pretzel twists
    1 c. lucky charms
    1/2 c. green M&Ms
12 oz. white chocolate chips, but I prefer using white almond bark melted
    1 tsp. green sanding sugar

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Transfer to parchment paper. Freeze 20 minutes, then break into pieces. I find if you use almond bark, freezing isn't necessary.

  2. Re: the marshmallows are at a fun site called nuts.com. Also swear I saw them at the grocery store (King Soopers, which is a Kroger store) in tiny little cello bags in – maybe – the baking section.
