These Salsa Sloppy Joes are a new favorite at our house. I made these for dinner last week and the whole family gobbled them up. I didn’t have any leftovers. Ground beef simmered in tomato soup, salsa, and brown sugar. A little spicy, a little sweet, and a whole lotta delicious! Whip up some homemade french fries for a meal the whole family will enjoy!

How to Make Salsa Sloppy Joes

This recipe is super easy to make on the stovetop with only four simple ingredients. In a large skillet, cook lean ground beef over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease. Add a can of tomato soup, salsa, and brown sugar to the pan. Season with salt and black pepper. Bring the meat mixture to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened. Serve on hamburger buns.

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 (10.5-oz) can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 ½ cups salsa
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • hamburger buns

Instructions:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain excess grease.

  2. I, too, have yet to fall in love with regular sloppy joes. However, I use salsa to cook all the time and this sounds delicious! P.S. Are those frozen Checker's brand seasoned fries?? Those are our favorite fries!!! We dip them in thousand island 🙂
