How to Make Quick Baked Beans
This recipe starts with a couple of cans of Pork and Beans and adds some ketchup, mustard, onions, brown sugar, and cooked bacon. Just dump everything in a pan, bring to a boil and then simmer for 10 minutes. SO easy! They also tasted great! It is hard to find a quick baked bean recipe that actually tastes good. I thought these beans were some of the best we’ve made. They are most definitely going to be on our table next weekend for the 4th of July!
Feel free to add in some fresh chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, or even some cooked ground beef. This is an easy recipe to double or triple for a crowd. You can make the beans in the slow cooker if you need to keep them warm for a crowd. Just dump everything in the crockpot and let it cook on LOW or HIGH for a few hours. Let everyone serve themselves straight from the slow cooker – so easy!

Quick Baked Beans with Bacon
Ingredients:
- 2 (15-oz) cans Pork and Beans
- 4 tsp dried minced onion flakes
- 6 Tbsp ketchup
- 2½ Tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

This (minus the mustard) is basically the way my mom made baked beans my whole life, and everyone always loves them! Can't say I've ever measured, but I think the amount of brown sugar and ketchup we use is quite a bit more – ours end up pretty sweet, but they are absolutely the best baked beans ever! 🙂
