Charleston Cheese Dip

Stop what you are doing and get the ingredients to make this Cheesy Bacon & Pecan Dip. It is SOOOOO good. Seriously delicious! I had this at a party last year and immediately asked for the recipe. I made it the next night for Chicken Legs. He told me to never make it again because he couldn’t control himself around it. Well, I didn’t listen to him and made it again at Christmas last year. Everyone LOVED it. I recently saw this recipe online being called Charleston Cheese Dip. Whatever you call it, just make it!

How to Make Cheesy Bacon & Pecan Dip

This dip is super quick and easy to make. Simply combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, and bacon. Spread the mixture into a pie plate. Top the dip with crushed Ritz crackers and bake. Pour pepper jelly over the hot dip and serve.

  • This dip can be made in advance and refrigerated until you are ready to bake it. Perfect for any upcoming parties!!
  • Can substitute turkey bacon for the regular pork bacon.
  • I used cheddar cheese in the dip, but any cheese you enjoy will work just fine.
  • Can substitute crushed pork rinds and omit the pepper jelly for a low-carb dip. It will still taste great without the pepper jelly glaze.
  • We top the dip with some Rose and Ivy Southern Pecan Pepper Glaze. (I bought it at a gift shop in town.) It is a pecan pepper jelly sauce. I don’t like pepper jelly, but it tastes SO good on top of this dip.

We serve the dip with Ritz crackers. It is also delicious with chips or celery sticks. Make this dip for your next gathering. I promise it will be the star of the party!

  1. Great recipe, and you posted it at a great time. I used it when I needed to take an appetizer to a cookie exchange. I've found that any time I try a recipe from your site, it turns out just how I'd expect it to. It's reassuring to know that if you post something that sounds good to me-I can pretty much assume that it will be good.

That said, I only made the slightest of changes. When I read "cheese" and "bacon" on this site…I expect it to also include "ranch" so…I added a bit of ranch.

Very tasty. Thank you for posting all of these.

  2. This exact recipe but with Captain Rodney's Boucan Glaze is an "anytime you need a dip" staple in N MS. I haven't thought to try it with the Rose and Ivy Southern Pecan Pepper Glaze, but I will now b/c I do love this glaze!

  3. Could you give the name of the store that you bought the pepper jelly glaze at in your local area? I live near by and would love to make this today!!

    1. the pecans are in the pepper jelly I used. If you can't find the brand I used, add about 1 or 2 Tbsp with your pepper jelly.
