White BBQ Sauce {Alabama White Sauce}

White BBQ Sauce {Alabama White Sauce} - mayonnaise, vinegar, apple juice, horseradish, pepper, lemon, salt, cayenne - Zesty white sauce that is great as a marinade, baste or dipping sauce. Keeps for 2 weeks. Great on pork and chicken!!

Have you heard of White BBQ Sauce? It is a mayonnaise based sauce that is served with the BBQ here in Alabama. Now, BBQ is a noun in the South. I know some people use BBQ as a verb, but it is actually a noun. White BBQ Sauce can be served with pork and chicken. It is super popular served on top of some smoked pulled chicken, but we love to drizzle the white sauce on top of pulled pork too.

White BBQ Sauce is so simple to make. It has 8 ingredients and literally takes a minute to make. You can store the sauce in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Woohoo!

The White BBQ Sauce can be drizzled over cooked meat, and you can also marinate your meat in the sauce. We really love to marinate pork tenderloin and chicken breasts in this sauce. You can maximize flavor by basting the meat in some of the White BBQ Sauce while it is on the grill. SO good!!! Whip up a batch today for Memorial Day. I guarantee it will be a hit!

  1. Any suggestions to substitute for the horseradish (allergic)?

  2. I need a substitute for horseradish also. It isn't that I don't like it, it's just that it will put me in anaphylaxis. I had white sauce at a fave Alabama bbq joint in Melbourne, Fl. It didn't have horseradish in it.

  3. I was just curious if it has to be regular white vinegar or if white wine vinegar will work the same.
