Pin This RecipeThis Pizza Pierogi Casserole is comfort food at its best! Pierogis, Italian sausage, spaghetti sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese. YUM! We cleaned our plates and went back for seconds. We absolutely LOVED this simple casserole. This is a super easy weeknight meal. It also makes a GREAT freezer meal. You can even divide the casserole into two 9-inch pans and bake one and freeze one for later.
I used Italian sausage in this meat sauce. If you aren’t a fan of sausage, you can swap it out for ground beef or ground turkey. Either will work great! We topped the casserole with some pepperoni and olives. Feel free to add all of your favorite pizza toppings to the top of the casserole – green peppers, onions, mushrooms. Anything goes!
What are pierogies? Pierogies are potato dumplings filled with various fillings. Basically a potato ravioli with cheese. I used Mrs. T’s Pierogies. They are in the freezer section at the grocery store. Look for them near the other frozen potato products. There are several different flavors. You can use any flavor that catches your eye.

Can I substitute frozen 4-cheese ravioli for the pierogi? Pierogi are hard to find here in the Pacific NW.
You can find pierogi at any grocery store in the pacific northwest! I've lived there my whole life and every store has them. Especially Walmart!
Awesome! Thanks!
