What does CRACK mean?

If a recipe has “crack” in the title it means that the recipe has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the ingredients. It all started with my Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck.

According to the dictionary, the definition of crack is “of superior excellence or ability”. We think the flavor combination of cheddar, bacon, and ranch fits this definition! This recipe is most definitely of superior excellence!

How to Make Crack Chicken Crescent Rolls

These chicken pockets are effortless to make with only a few simple ingredients. Open a can of crescent roll dough and separate it into eight triangles. Spread ranch salad dressing over the rolls. Place half a slice of cheddar cheese on the wide end of the crescent roll. Top the cheese with half a slice of cooked bacon and a chicken finger. Roll up the rolls and place on a large cookie sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Stir together melted butter and ranch dressing mix. Brush the butter mixture over the top of the rolls. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.

  1. Made a little bit healthier version. Used boneless chicken breast cut them into strips instead. Seasoned with salt and dry ranch then sautéed. Also used reduced fat crescent rolls as well. Very good.

  2. what brand of frozen chicken tenders do you use? i can't find one i like yet. most seem to have weird chewy bits in them. bleh. but this recipe sounds great and I'd love to try it!
