Quick Homemade Pizza Dough

Pizza is my all-time favorite food. I could eat it every single day and never get tired of it. I am always looking for new pizza recipes. I’ve had this 2-Ingredient Pizza Dough saved for years and finally got around to making it. OMG! SO good! The best part is that the dough is ready to add toppings in about 5 minutes!

How to Make WW Friendly Pizza Dough

What is 2-Ingredient Pizza Dough? It is pizza dough made with plain greek yogurt and self-rising flour. I made this dough in my stand mixer. I just dumped the ingredients in the bowl and let the mixer take care of the heavy-duty mixing.

  • Can I use regular flour? Yes. To make self-rising flour, add 1 ½ tsp baking powder and ¼ tsp salt to 1 cup of regular all-purpose flour.
  • Can I use sour cream? Yes! I have used a combination of Greek yogurt and sour cream many times. I’ve also used just sour cream and it turned out fine. It just won’t be Weight Watcher friendly.
  • Can 2-Ingredient Pizza Dough be frozen? Yes! I like to assemble the pizza and place it in the freezer. When ready to bake, simply add a few minutes to the cooking time below.
  • What type of Greek yogurt do you use in this pizza dough? Make sure to buy PLAIN Greek yogurt. You can use any fat percentage of greek yogurt you prefer. I’ve used 2% and fat-free and the dough works great with both.
  • I don’t have a mixer. Can I make this dough by hand? Yes! If you are mixing this dough by hand, mix it all together and then transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead by hand for about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Can I cook 2-Ingredient Pizza Dough in the air fryer? Yes! Bake the pizza dough for 3 or 4 minutes at 400ºF. Add sauce and toppings. Bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes.

Easy Weeknight Pizza Dough

I baked this 2-Ingredient Pizza Dough on a pizza steel. I LOVE my pizza steel! It makes the crust all nice and crispy! If you don’t have a steel, a pizza stone or just a regular pizza pan will work just fine. Top the pizza with your favorite sauce and toppings. I like to use our No-Cook Pizza Sauce. You can leave out the sugar if you wish. The sauce is super easy to make and tastes SO good! So fresh and garlicky!

We serve this pizza with a simple salad or some pasta salad. Here are a few of our favorite recipes from the blog that go great with this easy homemade pizza:

  1. Oh………my………….yum! This was yummy and quick! I am used to making home made pizza, but this was tasty and, did I say quick already? Great recipe!

  2. Have you ever attempted to make pretzels/pretzel bites with this dough like others have said they make bagels with it?

  3. Im confused on how to transfer from the cookie sheet to the hot pizza stone in the oven…are you supposed to use a spatula or something to move it from the cookie sheet onto the stone…does the dough not scrunch up and the toppings get all messed up when you do that? could you use wax paper or foil to do the same thing?

    1. I used the cookie sheet to slide the pizza onto the preheated stone/pizza steel. You can also use a pizza peel. I just didn't want to spend extra money on a pizza peel. It doesn't get messed up. You are carefully sliding the sheet under the pizza and carefully sliding it off the sheet onto the pizza stone.
I don't suggest wax paper or foil. You can skip preheating a pizza stone and just use a pizza pan.

    1. Self-rising flour is 1 cup of all-purpose flour plus 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon fine salt

  4. Is the pizza still on the parchment paper when you place it on the cookie sheet to put in the oven? Please clarify, I would very much like to try this recipe.

        1. I haven’t tried this with almond flour, so I don’t know if it would work. We do have some low-carb/keto-friendly/gluten-free pizza recipes on the blog. Use the search tool or check out the Pizza category.

  5. Looks too easy to be true! 🙂
Can this be made without a stand mixer. I'm not a very experienced baker.

    1. Absolutely! I wouldn't freeze it as a big ball (it will take too long to thaw). I would form it into a circle and then freeze it. If you make a couple of smaller pizzas, stack them on parchment paper before putting them in the freezer bag.

  6. Does this freeze well? Just curious bc I do meal prep and that would help out a lot. Thanks and love your recipes!!!

  7. I’ve made this before and really like it! If following Weight Watchers, the smartpoints come only from the flour if you use nonfat plain Greek yogurt! You can make a lot of other things with this dough also like bagels!

    1. I'll have to try bagels!! The dough is surprisingly good. I love that it is loaded with protein from the Greek yogurt!

  8. I see recipe calls for 1&1/2 C flour but I only see 1C being used. What happens with other half cup? Love your recipes. Tx.

    1. Just add the additional1/2 cup a little at a time until the dough comes together. I clarified the instructions.
