This sauce is super easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Whisk to combine and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer over medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat.

To make our bbq chicken recipe, season chicken pieces with BBQ seasoning on both sides to make the chicken. Prepare the grill. Cook the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF. Brush the chicken with the barbecue sauce on both sides before removing it from the grill.

  1. This recipe is excellent!! We did it on grilled chicken with corn on the cob and fried pickles! I am putting it on pork chops next time around!! Next time I will add a little cayenne for a smidge more heat but other than that incredible! I posted a picture under the feedback for the Pinterest pin. 😁

  2. Excellent sauce, nice change from a barbecue sauce. Fabulous on pork chops. Letting the sauce sit a couple of days to let the ingredients marry is the key.

  3. I have had this sauce at other folks homes and enjoyed it. Time to step up and do this for Father's Day weekend. Others have called this Carolina Gold. Not sure if these two versions have all the same ingredients but the picture tells me yes.
