This is the first recipe we tried from my new Deen Bros. Take it Easy cookbook. I (*obviously*) love chicken and I love honey mustard so this was a safe pick. The honey mustard has olive oil and tomato paste mixed in with it and then it is just slathered over the chicken. Talk about easy! This is a real 30 minute meal and is super easy to fix after work – or any other night you don’t want to cook. I really loved the sauce on the chicken – it was sweet & tangy, like a BBQ sauce but not as spicy. We will be having this again -it’s a “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!”.
Honey Mustard Baked Chicken
Deen Bros.
- 3 Tbsp honey mustard dressing
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp tomato paste (I used about 2 tsp)
- 4 chicken breast
- salt
- pepper
Preheat oven to 400.
Season chicken breast with salt and pepper. Place chicken on a baking sheet lined with foil.
Mix together honey mustard, olive oil and tomato paste. Spread dressing mixture over top of chicken breast and bake for 25 minutes.
Jessica – I'll have to try it on pork chops. I don't make a lot of pork chops, but I have resolved to cook more pork. Thanks for the suggestion!
I know this recipe is from awhile ago, but this has become one of my go to recipes for dinner at my house! It is really delicious and I have even used it on top of pork chops too.
Any particular brand of honey mustard that you used?
This sounds like it's on our agenda for this week. Easy, good, and I happen to have a half a can of tomato past in the fridge leftover from our rice dish yesterday.
Perfect! I have some honey mustard that I've been meaning to use up in the fridge. This sounds like the ticket.
Hey Big Dude – glad you liked them. We really enjoyed them as well!
We tried your chicken fingers the other day and really liked them
