Baked Parmesan Bisquick Chicken Tenders

This chicken really lives up to its name. This recipe really is for the Ultimate Chicken Fingers! The flavor is great! The coating isn’t too heavy and it doesn’t fall off when you eat it. There are only a few simple ingredients and they are ready to eat in about 20 minutes! The perfect weeknight meal! Easy and delicious!

How to Make The Ultimate Chicken Fingers

This chicken is super easy to make. Start with beating an egg in a shallow plate or dish. Next, combine Bisquick, parmesan cheese, garlic salt, pepper, and paprika. Dip the chicken into the egg and then coat in the Bisquick mixture. Place the chicken on a baking sheet and bake. That’s it! SO easy!

  • You can use any cut of chicken that you prefer. I used chicken tenderloins. This is also great on boneless chicken breasts or thighs.
  • If you need a gluten-free dish, you can use Gluten-Free Bisquick.
  • Can the Ultimate Chicken Fingers be made in advance? Yes! You can coat the chicken and refrigerate it overnight.
  • Can Homemade Chicken Tenders be frozen? Yes. Coat the chicken and place on a baking sheet. Place the sheet in the freezer until the chicken is frozen. Transfer the chicken to a freezer bag. The chicken will keep up to 3 months in the freezer.
    • You can bake the chicken frozen. Simply add a few minutes to the cooking time.
  • Can Chicken Fingers be cooked in the air fryer? Yes. You can coat the chicken and cook it in the air fryer at 375ºF for 8 minutes.

What to Serve with Chicken

This chicken has been on repeat at our house. I usually double the recipe so we can have leftovers for lunch during the week. We like to dip the chicken into some Zippy Pineapple Sauce or Jalapeño Ranch Dip. They are all great in Ranch dressing, BBQ sauce, or honey mustard.

We usually serve the chicken with some green beans and rice. They are also great over some pasta. Here are a few of our favorite recipes from the blog that go great with this easy chicken:

  1. For the recipe bisquick chicken fingers is the Parmesan cheese you use in the green shaker can or real Parmesan cheese shredded

  2. The list of items shows parchment paper but in the recipe it mentions foil – does it matter which one you use?

  3. I have become a Steph/Plain Chicken disciple ! All Steph’s recipes are extraordinary !!! My family loves the casseroles, and I love being able to cook and freeze ahead of time, so that I can spend more time visiting with my 14 grandchildren and their parents, when they visit at different times. Also, Steph, and others, in case you are not aware of this, COSTCO now has 2lb. packages of hand pulled white rotisserie chicken breast meat. It makes it so much easier than having to strip your own rotisserie chicken to use in your fabulous recipes. Anna

    1. I just bought some of the pulled rotisserie chicken this week! It is definitely easier than pulling it yourself.

  4. dont mean to appear dumb but im in the uk and im not sure what bisquick is any description would be appreciated xx

    1. Bisquick is a biscuit mix. Or what is equivalent to a (US) biscuit. It is similar to the UK scones or unsweetened quickbread. US biscuits are usually eaten with butter and jam/jelly or with a gravy. You can find recipes for homemade Bisquick on Pinterest.

  5. Starsky99 – you can leave the salt out or add a dash of salt if you like. It is totally up to you. Enjoy!

  6. If i use garlic POWDER should I change anything (like the amount and then do I need to add salt too)? Thank you.

  7. Oh My My!! I just got on an all-protein very-low carb diet, and this sounds PERFECT for it. With cooking spray and…well… minimum bisquick, this is going to be great!!

  8. Made this tonight.. it was FANTASTIC!! My son.. who eats NOTHING.. gobbled it up! Definitely a keeper!!

  9. Enjoying these now! I used Hungry Jack because I though I had Bisquick on hand but I didn't -_- Regardless, these are the bomb! So tasty and the chicken is so juicy. This is the third recipe I have made from your site!

  10. I made these last week and we loved it! I also used it on fish over the weekend and it was excellent.
I have always baked chicken strips at 350 for 20 minutes, but the temp and time for your ultimate chicken fingers is the way to do it. They were so juicy, but still cooked all the way through. Thank you for the recipe!

  11. I have several recipes from Bisquick boxes from over the years They always seem to do a good job. Another recipe bookmarked.

  12. Keeping this one in mind for the boys, they love chicken. Can I ship them to your house for a week? 😉
