Chuy's Jalapeno Dip - easy copycat recipe. Tastes just like the real thing!! SO good! Great on tacos, on top of a salad or as a dip. Everyone LOVES this!! Sour cream, ranch mix, jalapeños, garlic, cilantro, lime juice and milk. One of my most requested recipes!!
We finally made it to dinner at Chuy's a couple of weeks ago (the wait has been horrendous). We both really enjoyed the food, but we both loved the jalapeno dip they serve with the chips and salsa. It was crazy good!
I immediately went on the hunt for the recipe. I found a few copycat recipes and settled on one from The Tasty Kitchen. Jackpot! It tasted exactly like the jalapeno dip at Chuy's! We couldn't stop eating the stuff. I decided to marinate some chicken in it and it was awesome! I also made a little cheesy jalapeno bread. YUM! Jalapeno Dip overload!!

The dip sounds awesome and great idea with the chicken.
ReplyDeleteI am going to love this! Can't wait to make it. If I don't eat it all with chips, I might try it on chicken too.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so good, I love jalapeno dip. Heh, I wonder how long it will take them to open up a location here in Boston.
ReplyDeleteHeck yeah, that sounds delicious! It's a nice shift from the typical salsa or queso dip and the jalapeno kick rocks.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, yum! I've never heard of the restaurant before, but am so glad you posted a recipe. This is a great one for football season. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteWe have one not too far from our house and I love it. As far as Tex Mex goes, it's pretty good (on most days) The problem is it's so popular there's always an hour wait :9.

ReplyDeleteThis looks SO good--thanks for the recipe! I loved Chuy's when I lived in Dallas. Plus, I saw that you're going to Superior this weekend, and that is hands down my favorite Mexican food! Enjoy it; I'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteNever heard of Chuy's. Maybe Denver will get one! I'm definitely saving this recipe, sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds delicious, Steph! Thanks for sharing such a great find.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of it. But I'll give the dip a try.

This is going to be a good one to try. Love the ingredients!
ReplyDeleteI just ran across your blog and have added it to my fave list :)
ReplyDeleteI make this dip and it is a fave of ours -- It is something requested when we attend a friend's house. I sometimes make it a bit thicker (not as runny as what is served at Chuy's) and do tortilla pin wheels with it.
Looking forward to trying many of your receipes out on my family
The dressing mix (with mayo) works way better for this. The dip mix tastes waaay too sour creamy.
ReplyDeleteWell we finally got a Chuy's here a month or two ago and Alexis and I just tried it last week. Loved the jalapeno sauce. I guessed it was a ranch sauce juiced up with jalapeno and cilantro. Pretty close based on your recipe!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you, Chicken Legs and the critters!
Thank you for this recipe. We make this all the time in our family. My husband is from Austin, TX, and this reminds him of home. So good!!
ReplyDeleteI love Chuys dip here in San Antonio there are many locations. The food there is ok not really Tex Mex. If you ever visit here there is way better Tex Mex places then Chuys.
ReplyDeleteI have missed this SO MUCH since moving back to the East Coast. I made it to top some Slaw/Shrimp tacos and maaaaybe there might be some left for them. My husband is even impressed I was able to recreate it. I didn’t tell him how easy it was thank you so much for this recipe!!
