Ultimate Crispy Grilled Cheese

Wednesday, April 6, 2011

I am a firm believer that you can't have tomato soup without a grilled cheese sandwich.  I saw this recipe on Kraft's website and decided to make it to go with our homemade tomato soup.  I mean how can you pass up the ultimate crispy grilled cheese sandwich??

This was actually really, really good.  It was crispy and cheesy without being greasy.  We both loved it.  Chicken Legs will not eat a grilled cheese any other way now.  I know it seems silly to post a grilled cheese sandwich recipe, but this one was blog worthy.  Plus, April is National Grilled Cheese month!

We kept it old school and used Kraft singles, but we will play around with the cheeses next time.  We have agree with Kraft, this is the Ultimate Crispy Grilled Cheese.

Ultimate Crispy Grilled Cheese
(Printable Recipe)

8 slices white bread
8 Kraft Singles (or any other cheese slice you like)
8 tsp soft butter
4 tsp grated Parmesan cheese

Heat oven to 400ºF. Fill bread slices with Singles to make 4 sandwiches. Spread outsides of sandwiches with margarine; place on baking sheet.

Bake 8 min.; sprinkle with half the Parmesan. Flip sandwiches; sprinkle with remaining Parmesan. Bake 6 to 8 min. or until golden brown.
