How to Make Spiced Tea Mix
This mix is SUPER easy to make. Simply whisk together lemonade mix, instant tea, Tang, sugar, and pumpkin spice. Store in an air-tight container and enjoy during the holiday season.
- I used Country Time Lemonade mix.
- For the instant tea, I used Lipton unsweetened instant tea.
- I found the Tang orange drink mix at Walmart.
- If you want a finer mix, pulse the mixture in the food processor.
- Don’t have pumpkin pie spice on hand? No problem! You can make it with only four spices.
- Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice
- 4 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice
How to Package Spiced Tea Mix for Gift Giving
- I packaged my tea mix in Kerr Wide Mouth 8-oz Mason Jars (http://amzn.to/2iwuauR).
- For the labels, I used a sheet of Avery Full-Sheet Labels (http://amzn.to/2iwZutj).
- I found the label design online at World Label. You can find them here–> Christmas Label Template. Scroll to the bottom of the post for the download.
- This recipe makes six jars of Christmas Spiced Tea Mix. There are also exactly six labels on the template.
- To finish off the jars, I hot glued a ribbon around the edge. Perfect!

Mom made something like this when we were kids… in the 60’s. For whatever reason, it was called “Russian Tea…” We used Tang Orange Juice, Wyler’s Lemonade (which I can’t find) Instant Tea, Cloves, Sugar and Cinnamon… now, I omit the sugar and use Country time Lemonade that is already sweetened… It’s a great mix to gift someone at this time of year in a cute mug with a bow…
I used to make it back in the 80s. I couldn’t remember what it was called. Russian Tea – yes. Thanks.
