Steak Seasoning

I thought I would share some of my favorite “man foods” with you this week in preparation for Father’s Day this weekend. First up is the is steak rub. We love to grill out steaks. We usually have the butcher season our filets when we buy them. There was some miscommunication between Chicken Legs and me and he didn’t get the steaks seasoned. I decided to come up with my own seasoning for the steaks this time. It was quick, easy and delicious. Chicken Legs said he actually liked this better than the butcher shop seasoning. I guess this is a keeper!

Steak Seasoning
¾ cup seasoning
(Printable Recipe)

  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • ¼ – ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp onion powder
  • 1 ½ tsp dry mustard

Combine all spices and rub on steaks.  Grill to desired temperature.
