How to Make Buffalo Chicken Bubble Up

This casserole is super easy to make. Toss cooked chopped chicken with buffalo hot sauce. Cut biscuits into quarters. In a large bowl, toss together chopped biscuits, Alfredo sauce, bacon, buffalo chicken, and mozzarella & cheddar cheese. Pour the mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with more mozzarella & cheddar cheese and bake.

  • This recipe is made for the smaller can of biscuits – NOT the bigger Grands biscuits. I used two cans of Pillsbury Flaky Layers Biscuits Buttermilk. It is a 6-oz can of biscuits with 5 biscuits in each can. You will need 10 total biscuits for this recipe.
  • I used Frank’s Buffalo Sauce in this casserole.
  • Feel free to change the cheeses. Obviously, bleu cheese would be great in this.
  • You can control the amount of heat in this dish by adding more or less buffalo wing sauce.
  • I used chopped rotisserie chicken for the cooked chicken in this dish. Here is our recipe for Slow Cooker Rotisserie Chicken: https://www.plainchicken.com/slow-cooker-rotisserie-chicken/
  • Make sure to spread out the biscuits in the pan so they cook evenly. You don’t want big gobs of uncooked biscuits in the casserole.

  1. This sound delish and I’m dying to try it, but just wondering – can you mix up some Bisquick drop biscuits and and substitute instead of canned if you mix everything carefully?

    1. What a great idea! But unfortunately, without further recipe testing, I cannot answer with certainty. As always, please use your best judgment regarding substitutions and modifications.
