Biscuit Pecan Pie Dessert

If you are a regular reader of Plain Chicken, you already know we are huge fans of “bubble up” recipes. We have tons of savory versions and we just made a sweet Apple Pie Bubble Up. It was such a huge hit, that I started thinking up other sweet versions.

Thanksgiving is a few weeks away, and I was thinking about our menu. I came up with an idea for a Pecan Pie Bubble Up. I used my favorite pecan pie recipe and tossed it with biscuits. It turned out amazing!

How to Make Pecan Pie Bubble Up

This dessert is SUPER easy to make. Whisk together corn syrup, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in chopped pecans. Cut refrigerated biscuits into quarters and toss in pecan mixture. Pour mixture into a baking dish and bake.

  • This recipe uses the can of smaller refrigerated biscuits. You are looking for either two cans of 6-ounce biscuits or one can of 12-ounce biscuits. You are going to have a total of 10 biscuits.
  • They sell the smaller size of Pillsbury refrigerated biscuits at Walmart.
  • You can make this dessert a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  • I prefer to serve this dessert warm. You can reheat the bubble up in the microwave or covered in the oven.
  • I used light corn syrup, feel free to use dark corn syrup if you prefer.
