These Sweet and Spicy Pecans are a family favorite! The pecans are soaked a simple sugar and then tossed in a combination of sugar, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. The result is a super delicious snack! I am making a batch for Christmas snacking and for New Year’s. These would be great for watching football games. Whip up a batch ASAP! You won’t be disappointed!
How to Make Sweet and Spicy Pecans
These spiced pecans are super easy to make with only a few ingredients. In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium-high heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. Add pecans and let them soak in the sugar mixture for 15 minutes. Drain pecans and place them in a large bowl. Add sugar, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. Toss to coat. Place coated pecans in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, stirring midway through baking time. Remove from oven and spread out on a large piece of parchment paper or a silicone mat. Cool completely.

- ¼ tsp ground red pepper
