Easy BBQ Pork Recipe

One of our favorite slow cooker pulled pork recipes is made with Coke. Our favorite cocktail is a bourbon and Coke, so I decided to add some bourbon to our favorite recipe and see how it turned out. The answer? Ridiculously good! The best part about this recipe is that is ridiculously easy to make with only 4 ingredients! Give this a try for your next BBQ party. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

How to Make Slow Cooker Bourbon & Coke Pulled Pork

This recipe couldn’t be any easier. Just dump everything in the slow cooker and let it do all the work. The pork cooks all day and is perfectly tender by the time it is served. This pork is good plain or with your favorite BBQ sauce drizzled on top.

  • Here is our recipe for Homemade BBQ Seasoning: https://www.plainchicken.com/bbq-seasoning/
  • We made the pork with Maker’s Mark, but any bourbon or whiskey will work fine.

  • To make the pork in the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker, cook the pork on HIGH pressure for 1 hour. Turn off and let steam naturally release for 20 minutes. Quick-release any remaining pressure. Remove pork from Instant Pot and shred.

What to Serve with BBQ Pork

We served this on buns, but it is also great on top of nachos or a salad too! This makes a lot. You can freeze the leftovers for a quick meal later. I like to use the leftovers for Brunswick stew (one of my favorites). Cheers!!
