Can you freeze this dip??
I make something similar and it is really delish (yes, we HAVE made a meal of it … salsa is a veg, right?). Thanks for the suggestion of taco seasoning. Never thought of that and I’ll be adjusting my recipe. ❤️
I’ve made this dip countless times and it is sooo good! My question is can I freeze part of it because it make so much?
After this is made the initial time, Can you eat it cold out of the fridge, like with normal bean dip, or should it be reheated?
That would be up to you – I’m sure it tastes fine cold if you prefer it cold.
I just made this, and, it's delicious!
Couls you use turkey ? would it taste the same?
It won't taste exactly the same since you aren't using beef, but it should be just fine.
Just made this and it is so easy but oh so good. I added some hatch chili 🌶️ to it for some extra kick. Yummy 😋
Is this really spicy ?Cause I have some that like spicy and then there's some like me who love spicy but can't have it cause of acid reflux….If it is spicy is there a way of making it without all the spice ?
It will just depend on what type of salsa use in the dip. If you’re worried about heat, use a mild salsa.
What kind of salsa did you use?
I like Trader Joe’s jarred salsa
I made this for the second time, today. The hubster loves it. nd, I remembered why I wanted the Pioneer Woman's 0" frying pan!!!
Would shredded cheddar work?
cheddar cheese does not melt well at higher heat, it does well in the oven slow cooking, Cheddar cheese clumps and leaves bigger pieces not a creamier mixture.
Could you use turkey instead of ground beef?
sure
Just made this for my daughter's birthday party and everyone LOVED it and asked for the recipe!
Delicious!!! Hubby and I really liked this dip ! We used Fritos and tortilla chips.
Can't wait to try this!

I'm trying it with Chorizo! can't wait!
Looks so good! Pinning for sure!
I made this all the time 25 yrs ago and lost the recipe moving. So glad to have it back. The only difference was I used grated cheese instead of velveta
This looks amazing! I would totally be down with eating this for lunch!
This sounds great, but I'm wondering if I could do it as a baked dip? I'm taking it to our Auburn tailgate tomorrow and I'm not sure if there will be a crock pot hookup. I made your cracked out spinach dip last weekend and it was a hit!!! What do you think about trying to make it a baked dip? Thanks!
I haven't tried baking the dip. Let me know how it turns out if you give it a try.
A great big War Eagle to y'all.
