New favorite alert! These Party Roast Beef Sandwiches are AMAZING! I absolutely love every single thing about these sandwiches! I love a good roast beef sandwich and these roast beef sandwiches are THE BEST. The meat, melty cheese and the sweet and savory sauce on top – perfection!

The key to these sandwiches is using white American cheese. It melts perfectly. You just can’t get other cheeses to melt like American cheese. The sauce has a little kick from some creamy horseradish. SO good.

These are perfect for a party. They also reheat beautifully. We had these for lunch two days in a row. I wrapped the leftovers in foil and reheated them for a few minutes in the oven. Just as good as the first time we ate them. I LOVE these sandwiches. Make them for a quick lunch, dinner or tailgate! You won’t regret it!

  1. I’ve made these several times…. With roast beef but I just had pot roast last week. Ham should be just as good, right?

  2. Hi!!

Do you think this recipe would still taste good without the sauce mixture poured on top?? We have a picky eater when it comes to texture so the “sogginess” would be an issue (even though I know to most it would be the best part). Thanks!

  3. Im making these today for Saturday football. I m making to the recipe because it sounds so great! Im using steak sums, deli was out of roast beef (imagine that) I love beef onion and horseradish together. Maybe I’ll sneak some onion in there. Always a picky person in the crowd. 😉

  4. This is about the 10th time I have made these. I make them exactly like the recipe calls. Perfection! My boys ask for this for their birthday dinner. I have made it with big crowds. Today is my son’s birthday, I actually rest of the beef myself yesterday. Thank you so much for such a delicious recipe! The part I love about it is the caramelizing crispiness that happens at the bottom of the roll. Devine!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I’m making these this weekend to take while we’re entertaining friends on the boat. I’ll be preparing it in our camper and camper ovens aren’t the best. They are small and only heat from the bottom. I bought a little 12v lunch box that I can keep them warm in. Do you have any suggestions on how to prepare them not using the oven?

  6. Absolutely delicious! I did change a few things however. I got the Hawaiian sweet rolls, but the savory butter ones instead. I also used boars head horseradish cheddar cheese and no additional horseradish sauce. I also added crispy fried onions on the sandwiches as well. Highly recommend!

  7. I just made these to take to the beach for 4th of July and had to sample one beforehand. OMG! So amazing! I had to do them in my air fryer on the bake setting because my kitchen is gutted. It took 6 minutes at 360 degrees and they were perfect.

  8. So once the sauce mixture boils, you pour it over the bun right away? Seems like it would destroy the bun. Or do you let it cool off for a few minutes?

    1. Don’t let the sauce boil too long. Cook it just until it starts to boil. You are just dissolving the sugar. The rolls should be fine, but you can certainly let the glaze cool a bit.
