On our latest trip to Las Vegas we finally went to the Neon Museum Boneyard. It has been on my list for years, and I finally got tickets for a night tour.
The museum boneyard opened in 2012. It is located at the north end of Las Vegas Blvd.
It is open 7 days a week and they offer hour long tours every day.
The Museum includes nine restored signs. The gallery includes the Lucky Cuss Motel, the Bow & Arrow Motel, The Silver Slipper, Society Cleaners, Binion’s Horseshoe, the Normandie Motel, the Hacienda horse and rider, the Landmark and 5th Street Liquors.
As I said, we did the night tour. It was great! The guide was very knowledgable and enthusiastic.
I took tons of photos. The 2-acre campus is light with lights that change colors, giving the illusion that all the signs are lit up. We both really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it!
One note – the tours fill up quickly; make sure to book your tour well in advance.
I’m sharing some of my favorite photos from the tour below. I hope you enjoy the photo tour!

My husband was in the AirForce and was stationed at Nellis Air Force base there in Las Vegas. He said when he was there several of the signs now in the Neon Boneyard were on the Strip for the business that used them. He had a picture of him and a friend standing around a Horseshoe filled with cash, so I think that was Binonion's Horseshoe.
We were able to take this tour on our last visit to Vegas in August. Well worth the money to see it at night! Very cool to see all the old signs and learn about Vegas history!
