Walt Disney World Swan Hotel - the best kept secret in Disney World. Walking distance to Epcot and the Disney Boardwalk. All the benefits of staying on property but without the high room costs. The only place we stay!

Back in November we spent several days in my happy place – Walt Disney World! We got at least once a year. Our favorite place to stay is at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. It is THE BEST! It is located next to the Disney Boardwalk and is walking distance to Epcot. Perfect for us when we are eating our way through the Epcot Food & Wine Festival!!! You can also walk over to the Boardwalk and enjoy all the restaurants over there. There is also fun night time entertainment – jugglers and magicians – at the Boardwalk. SO much to do right around the hotel.
The Swan is a Westin property. It is on Disney property, but it isn’t owned by Disney. Not to worry, you get all the benefits of staying on property. Free transportation and Extra Magic Hours!! There is a boat that takes you to Epcot and Hollywood Studios and buses to go to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.
The best thing about The Swan being a Westin property is that you can book directly via the Westin website and the rates are almost ALWAYS cheaper than booking through Disney. PLUS you get your Starwood/Marriott points with the stay!!
On our most recent trip, we got upgraded to a Presidential Suite!!!???? ???? ????
We got upgraded because of our Starwood status. We are Platinum (the highest), so we got upgraded.
O-M-G!!! Just wait until you see our room! Holy Moly!!!!
Great location coupled with an amazing room = AWESOME Disney trip!!!

View of the back of the hotel on the walkway between the Swan and The Dolphin hotels.
This is where you catch the boats to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

This is the view we had when we opened the door to our room.
A PIANO!!!

Just to the right was the formal dining room.

There was a full kitchen off of the dining room.

Stove, microwave, dishwasher coffee maker, refrigerator.
There were even a few Diet Cokes in the refrigerator!

Back to the center of the room.
To the left of the entryway was a nice sitting area and a full bathroom to the left.

The bedroom was right off of the sitting area.
A nice big room with a Heavenly Bed!

We had a great view of The Dolphin hotel from our room!

The bathroom was very nice.

We had a jetted tub.

And a separate stand-up shower.

We got this room for $169/night. Can you believe it!
Make sure to check the website frequently for rates.
I had a room for over $300/night and the rates dropped a few weeks before our trip.

This is the front of the hotel – where you drive up and also where you catch the buses to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.

The breezeway between The Swan and The Dolphin is the best at night!
They play music and the lights dance with the music.

I am already planning our next trip to Disney! I know we will be going back for the Epcot Food & Wine Festival this Fall. I also want to check out the new Disney Springs area. We stopped by one afternoon to see how it turned out and it is super nice! High end shopping and great restaurants! I have a list of places I want to eat in Disney Springs. Can’t wait!!!!!

  1. The Food and Wine Festival is fantastic! My husband and I went for our honeymoon last September and ate so many good things! We also loved Yak & Yeti and House of Blues.
