Helpful Tips & Frequently Asked Questions
- You will most likely have leftover dressing. A little dressing goes a long way. Do not pour all of the dressing into the salad bowl at once. Add a little at a time until you get the desired amount of dressing.
- You can make the dressing ahead of time and assemble the salad right before serving.
- I suggest putting the dressing in a mason jar so you can shake it up really well before serving. You want to make sure that the oil is mixed into the rest of the ingredients.
- Can use regular or seedless watermelon.
- If you don’t like feta cheese, you can substitute goat cheese.
- What can I add to the salad? Mint leaves, English cucumbers, fresh basil leaves, cherry tomatoes, and black olives are all good.
- Don’t like pecans? You can substitute walnuts or sunflower seeds.
- Feel free to add your favorite grilled protein to the salad for a main dish.
