Cola Glazed Baked Ham – you’ll never buy a fancy store-bought honey-glazed baked ham again! Only 3 ingredients in the glaze – brown sugar, dijon mustard, and cola. Baste the ham as it bakes to get maximum flavor. Don’t forget to baste in-between the slices. This ham is always a hit! It is 1000% better than that fancy store-bought ham. Pin This RecipeEasy Spiral Glazed Ham for the Holidays
Christmas is all about the ham at our house! I love ham during the holidays. We usually buy a fancy honey glazed ham from the store, but this year I decided to try my hand at a homemade Cola Glazed Baked Ham. Y’all, this was BETTER than our usual store-bought ham. I mean, seriously out of this world delicious!!! This is our go-to ham recipe for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas holiday meals.
How to Make Cola Glazed Baked Ham
The glaze is super simple with only 3 ingredients. Place the ham in a large roasting pan. Whisk together brown sugar, coca cola, and dijon mustard. Brush ½ of the glaze on top of and in between slices of ham. Make sure to get the glaze in-between all those slices!! You want every slice to have amazing flavor!! Cover ham with aluminum foil. Bake for an hour. Remove the foil and bake uncovered until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140ºF. Remove the ham from the oven and transfer it to a serving platter. Pour any cooking liquids from the bottom of the pan over the ham. Use a sharp knife to cut the ham into slices.
- I bought a fully cooked spiral-baked ham at the grocery store.
- I bought an 8-pound ham because that was the smallest one that they had.
- Since the ham is already cooked, you are only heating up the ham. You are looking for an internal temperature of 140ºF.
- Cook the ham for about 13 to 16 minutes per pound.
- Can I use Diet Coke? I do NOT suggest using Diet Coke in this recipe. You need to use a soda with real sugar. Coke, Pepsi, Mr. Pibb, or Dr. Pepper work best.
- Can I make Cola GlazedHam in the slow cooker? Yes! Place the ham in the slow cooker and cover with glaze. Cover and cook on LOW until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140ºF.
- Tip – if your lid won’t cover the ham, cover the crockpot with some heavy-duty aluminum foil instead.
- Can I make the coca cola glaze ahead of time? Yes! You can whisk together the coca-cola ham glaze ahead of time and store it in an airtight container in the fridge.
What to Serve with Coca Cola Ham
This was one of the BEST hams I’ve ever eaten. It goes great with all of the holiday fixings – potatoes, corn, and green beans. I will never buy a fancy store ham again! This ham is 1000% better!
The leftovers are AMAZING too! I always buy a bigger ham than we need just to have leftover ham. This glazed ham makes the BEST ham sandwich EVER! Top the sandwich with some honey mustard and cheese – oh, yes!

Soooooo good, I do not like mustard at all but this was wonderful the taste of mustard was not apparent at all .
I agree. I’m not a huge mustard fan, but it works in this recipe. Glad you enjoyed the ham, Lor!
I have a whole smoked ham butt, would it work for it or does it have to be a spiral cut ham?
Can this cook in crockpot? How long would you cook it? Thanks
Should we let it rest once it's done cooking? If so, how long?
I just served it after I took it out of the oven. I cut it in the corners and pulled off the slices.
Add a little more mustard along with a tbl of pineapple juice
