Slow Cooker Ranch pork Chops with Cream Cheese

There are only 5 simple ingredients in this recipe. You probably have them in the house right now. I know I do. I always keep the ingredients on hand for this quick meal.

To make this dish, place the pork chops in the crockpot. In a saucepan, heat cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, ranch dressing, and chicken broth just until everything is melted and incorporated. Pour the soup mixture over the pork chops and let the slow cooker do its thing.

  • Do NOT make the ranch dressing. You are only using the seasoning packet.
  • Here is our recipe for Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix: https://www.plainchicken.com/homemade-ranch-dressing-mix/
  • You do not have to heat the soup mixture. You can just dump everything in the slow cooker. I just find the sauce is smoother if I get the cream cheese melted into the soup before cooking.
  • Can use boneless or bone-in pork chops.
  • For a gluten-free dish, use a can of gluten-free cream of chicken soup.

What to Serve with Pork Chops

We served the pork chops over pasta, but they would also be great over potatoes, rice, or grits. Just make sure you spoon all that yummy sauce on top of the pork chops! It is way too good to let go to waste! I usually just stir the pasta or rice right into the slow cooker. SO good!

We like to eat these pork chops green beans and a biscuit. Here are a few of our favorite recipes from the blog that go great with these yummy pork chops:

  1. Loved how easy this was! I make my own Ranch seasoning, so I sprinkled the chops with a little of it before covering with the sauce. Chops had great flavor. Wished the sauce had a tad more, so next time I might add some garlic or diced onions.

  2. The sauce is absolutely amazing, and I actually cut out the cream cheese and then added some corn starch to thicken it up. However, I thought the time was too long and the pork chops came out looking a bit gross and it was falling apart, so I may cut down on the time next time as well! Thank you for sharing!

  3. I have made this recipe several time and even converted it to a 30 min Instant pot receive( 20 min cook time, 10 min natural release). Today was the first time I combined the soup, seasoning and cream cheese on stove. It made the delicious recipe even better.

  4. I just made this the taste is amazing! The only issue I had was my sauce was SUPER runny not a gravy or sauce really because it was so thin. Am I the only one that has had this happen? I did use 3 bone-in pork chops that are about 3/4 inch thick.

    1. I am sure that it could. I’ve only made it in the slow cooker, so I can not say what the cooking time would be in the oven. The pork chops need to be baked until they reach an internal temperature of 145ºF.

  5. Holy cow this is delicious! I doubled the ingredients for the sauce and am so glad I did. It’s FANTASTIC! So fantastic I plan on making just the sauce regularly to have on hand for quick dinner and snack. This stuff would be great on just about anything!

  6. I make this often, however, I don’t use chicken broth and I don’t cook any of it in the stove. I throw it al into the crock pot and cook it on low for 6 hours. Absolutely delicious and a great gravy to go over mashed potatoes

  7. I have made this twice, with really thick boneless pork chops and with boneless chicken breast. Both times were fantastic! I added 1/4 pinot grigio and 1/2cup chicken broth; the wine gives it a rich flavor—fresh rosemary and thyme during cooking, fresh parsley for garnish at the end. Thank you so much for the great recipes.

  8. So if I make sure I’m using gluten free soup, this dish will be gluten free? It’s written served over angel hair pasta (?)

  9. Do you think bone In would produce a more moist pork chop than boneless ? Can’t wait to try! And is 4 hours on high correct ?

    1. Pork is safe to eat at 145ºF, so yes, 4 hours would sufficiently cook pork. Bone-in will work fine if that is your preference.

        1. I’m sure you could. I haven’t made this in the oven, so I can not say how long they would take.

  10. Could I brown the chops first before putting in the crock pot? Gonna make this regardless, sounds amazingly AWESOME!!!!

        1. I am sure it could be. I haven’t made this in the Instant Pot, so I cannot answer with certainty on the cooking times.

  11. I made this last night for the first time. It was delicious. I haven’t eaten pork chops in years. Every recipe I tried baking pork chops in the oven came out dry and tough. I am a convert with this recipe and will also try it with chicken. Thank you so much for this recipe.

  12. Oh, this sauce is the best I’ve ever tasted. Recipe makes a lot of sauce so no need to double unless doubling the meat. Tossed in some chopped onions, minced garlic and a couple sprigs of thyme. Cooked 4, 1.5 inch boneless loin chops on High for 4 hours, perfect! We actually were eating cold sauce from the pot the next day! It’s sooo good! How much do we like this sauce? Enough that 2 days later made it with boneless chicken breasts, 3.0 High, So yum! Stephanie, thank you! Your recipes never disappoint and you’re my go-to chef.

      1. We loved this recipe. I used a little more cream cheese and I used 8 thin pork chops. The pork could be cut with a fork. Even my daughter who doesn’t like pork, loved these pork chops.

    1. I haven’t tested this in the instant pot yet. I would try 5 minutes and 5 minutes natural release. Let us know if you try it!
