Great Dessert for a Crowd
This dessert is great for your next cookout or potluck. It tastes great hot out of the oven or cooled to room temperature. As I said, we like this with a big ol’ scoop of vanilla ice cream. It is equally delicious with some fresh whipped cream. SO good! Give this a try ASAP! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Can apple sauce be a substitute for the butter?
I love lemon and blueberries together! I found a gluten free lemon cake mix that is 12 0Z. which most standard cake mixes are 15.25OZ, will this make a difference? Will the ratios of the other ingredients need to change? Can’t wait to make this!
I was wondering if this would work with a gluten free cake mix?
I used 2 cans blueberry pie filling omitted the sugar added extra lemon zest and baked longer around 50 to 55 minutes till the top was golden brown. Delicious and added the vanilla ice cream on top.
Can frozen thawed berries be used? We are more of a huckleberry family – and I have loads of them in my deep freeze just waiting for something delicious to happen to them.
I think thawed huckleberries would be great! Enjoy!
Looks delicious! Do you think cut up peaches could be added also with the blueberries?
sure!
Looks amazing! Love a dish that can be served hot or at room temp — makes it so much easier to transport it to a potluck. Great recipe!
Should it be browned at all ? Any color after baking?
