Easy Spaghetti Made in the Instant Pot

This Instant Pot Cream Cheese Spaghetti is hands-down the BEST spaghetti I’ve ever eaten! It is ridiculously good. Absolutely better than anything I’ve eaten in an Italian restaurant. It is super creamy and has tons of great flavor. I can’t stop thinking about how delicious this Cream Cheese Spaghetti tasted.

I am really starting to LOVE my Instant Pot. The more I use it, the more I love it. I really like that everything cooks in the same pot, and I didn’t have to cook the pasta separately. The Instant Pot is great for when you want a delicious meal and you are short on time.

How to Make Instant Pot Cream Cheese Spaghetti

This pasta is SUPER easy to make in the electric pressure cooker. Turn Instant Pot on Sauté setting. Remove sausage from casings and cook until no longer pink. Add garlic and Italian seasoning. Cook 1 minute. Turn off Instant Pot. Add spaghetti sauce, and scrape the bottom of the Instant Pot insert to avoid getting a BURN notice. Stir to combine. Break spaghetti in half and place it into the beef mixture. Add beef broth. Stir and make sure pasta is fully covered. Close lid, lock, and seal. Select Manual setting or High Pressure and cook. Quick-release pressure. Open the lid and stir pasta, breaking up any clumps. Stir in cream cheese and parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

  • I used Italian sausage in this recipe. If you aren’t a sausage fan, feel free to swap it out for ground beef or ground turkey.
  • For the jarred spaghetti sauce, I used a jar of Trader Joe’s Roasted Garlic Marinara. It is the one with the green label. It is my absolute favorite jarred spaghetti sauce. If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s close by, I also love Rao’s and La Famiglia Del Grosso sauces. Both are available in the grocery store.

  1. Hello! I have a Ninja Foodie is there any difference in using it do you know.

Thank you, have tried so many of your recipes

    1. Used gluten free pasta and increased time to 12 minutes as rice pasta takes longer. It turned out fantastic!

  2. This is the best! I use hamburger instead of sausage or mixture of the two. I also use buccatini to make it very hearty. I have used bowtie and spirals and sauce sticks to them so nicely. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

    1. SO glad you enjoyed it! It is one of our favorites! I love how easy it is to make in the Instant Pot. I’ll have to try bucatini next time. LOVE it!

  3. I used a 1 lb. Box of penne, a 24 Oz. Can of spaghetti sauce, and the same can full of beef broth (since my sauce was smaller I thought it might need a little more liquid). I also just used some left over cooked Italian sausage that I tossed in cold. It came out really well. I think next time I’ll only use half a package of cream cheese and add a bit of salt for our tastes. I served 2, had plenty left for a freezer meal and a lunch, too.

  4. I found this recipe so decided to try it. I am used egg noodles and added more of the beef broth. We loved it. The only thing I would do differently is add twice the amount of italian sausage….

  5. I’m making this recipe for the 4th time this week. Me and my boyfriend just love it. I use a little less Italian sausage than the recipe calls for, and I use hot Italian sausage. Other than that I follow the recipe as directed. Love that I can make it all in one pot! Thanks!

  6. This turned out great!

I used a mix of Italian Sweet Sausage and Breakfast Sausage.
Because I didn’t have spaghetti noodles I used linguine noodles.

    Note:
A-If you use linguine noodles, you’ll need to cook them a bit longer.
My noodles were Al dente but when I went back for seconds they where good.
B-Next time I will use only 4 oz of cream cheese.
C-Add 2-3 more ounces of sauce.

Hint: To get all of the spaghetti sauce out of the jar/can…pour some of the beef broth into it and shake/stir around and pour in when you add the broth.
Noodles: Make sure they are scattered and not just plopped in (if so you will have clumps of noodles)

Leftovers: Freezes up well and reheats well too.
