What does CRACK mean?
If a recipe has “crack” in the title it means that the recipe has cheddar, bacon, and ranch in the ingredients. It all started with my Crack Dip way back in 2007. I made the dip for a Titans football game. Everyone went crazy over it. We couldn’t stop eating it and said it was like crack. The name stuck.
According to the dictionary, the definition of crack is “of superior excellence or ability”. We think the flavor combination of cheddar, bacon, and ranch fits this definition! This recipe is most definitely of superior excellence!
How to Make Crack Chicken Quiche
This recipe is super easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. Place chopped chicken, cooked chopped bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese in the bottom of a frozen pie crust. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and ranch dressing. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Pour the egg mixture over the chicken mixture. Bake the quiche in a preheated oven until the eggs are set. Sprinkle with parsley. Cool on a wire rack for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into slices.

OMG! This was amazing. Soo creamy. I shared it with my roommates and they loved it. I’m going to make a second one today. Thank you for explaining everything in detail. It really helps when preparing quiches now.
Can refrigerated pie crust be used?
sure
Made this today, added cooked spinach, small chopped onion and garlic. It’s in the oven for now ☺️.
So simple to put together & tasty. Also good reheated.
This was easy and delicious! I was looking for an easy picnic meal and didn’t want the standard sandwiches or fried chicken. This quiche was awesome! I made one with the recipe as is and another by substituting swiss, ham and blue cheese dressing and a little Italian seasoning. Both were fabulous and received rave reviews. I will definitely be keeping this one in my recipe rotation.
Should I freeze it before or after baking?
Your choice. As I said in the post, I always freeze them unbaked
It is really good! I made it with a thawed crust and it still took an hour to cook. Everyone liked it.
How about making this without the crust? My husband is gluten intolerant so I'm looking for new dinner ideas. I'm thinking about substituting leftover turkey in place of the chicken as well. How long to bake w/o crust??
I substitute broccoli for the bacon when I make it and sometimes add mushrooms, and it is wonderful!
Oh, I also add chopped onion, too…delish!
I don't think of quiche as a quick make dinner — but so smart to use the frozen pie crust and smart to freeze the whole thing for later too! Yum!
