These Easy Lemon Rolls are one of my favorite quick breakfast treats. They only take a few minutes to whip together and they taste great! Chicken Legs and I can finish off the whole batch ourselves on a good Saturday morning. Oops! These rolls are great for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. They are really good slightly warm with some vanilla ice cream! YUM!
How to Make Easy Glazed Lemon Rolls
These sweet rolls are super easy to make. Start with beating together cream cheese, brown sugar, and lemon zest at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Next, unroll a can of refrigerated French bread dough. Spread the filling over the dough, roll up, slice and bake. While the rolls are cooking make a quick lemon glaze with powdered sugar and lemon juice. Remove the rolls from the oven and pour the glaze over the hot rolls. Let cool slightly and enjoy.
How to Serve Sweet Rolls
We like to eat these rolls for breakfast, but they are also delightful for dessert or with your afternoon coffee. Give these a try the next time you want sweet rolls. They are SO much better than your usual canned cinnamon rolls!

Easy Lemon Rolls
Equipment:
Ingredients:
- ½ (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ tsp lemon zest
- 1 (11-oz) can refrigerated French bread dough
- 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 to 2 Tbsp lemon juice
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375ºF. Lightly spray a 9-inch cake pan with cooking spray.
- Beat cream cheese, brown sugar, and lemon zest at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Unroll French bread dough. Spread cream cheese mixture over dough, leaving a 1/4-inch border. Sprinkle granulated sugar over cream cheese.
- Starting with one long edge, roll the dough into a log the long way. Pinch the edges to seal.
- With a serrated knife, cut dough into 12 rolls. Place in cake pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven.
- Combine powdered sugar and lemon juice. Spread over rolls.

I can’t find the french bread dough anywhere…. any substitutions???
Just made these for this morning's Valentine breakfast. Put in muffin tins and they got a little darker ( I also lowered heat by 10 degrees–my oven) but only took 20 minutes. Delish! Will be making them again and again. Thanks ! How do I change my email address ? mine is denisecott@yahoo.com
Very good. I didn't have a knife so I used the dental floss trick. Will be making these instead of cinnamon rolls for awhile!
