We love St. Augustine! We’ve been going down there for years. There is so much to do and so many great places to eat! We love trying new places and eating at old favorites.
We tried three new places on this trip. They were all good – one is a new favorite! We also hit up a few places that we haven’t eaten at for many years. They were still as good as we’d remembered.
Have you ever been to St. Augustine? What are your favorite places to eat? I need to start a new list for our next trip!
Pizzalley’s is on the main shopping street in St. Augustine. It is a walk up pizza slice place.
If you walk straight through the pizza place you will find a full-service restaurant – The Chianti Room! We ate here on one of our first trips to St. Augustine. It has been YEARS, so we decided to give it a try again on this trip.
We started with some Bruschetta.
A blend of tomato, fresh basil, and garlic on our homemade bread, topped with melted whole milk mozzarella cheese and balsamic glaze.
We also got an order of fried cheese.
Chicken Legs and I have a serious weakness for fried cheese. YUM!
Next up the Caesar salad.
We also got a House Salad – mixed field greens topped with cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and carrots.
For entrees, Chicken Piccata.
Pan seared chicken covered in a lemon butter caper sauce.
Chicken Parmesan
Lightly seared in homemade Italian bread crumbs, smothered in pomodoro sauce, and blanketed with a blend of Romano and mozzarella cheeses.
Make your own pasta with Fettuccine, alfredo sauce, mushrooms, and blackened chicken.
This was my favorite!
Finally, a 10-inch pizza with sausage and pepperoni.
I’ve had Kingfish Grill on my list of places to try for a while.
It was on the way back to the hotel from The Players, so we decided to stop in for an early dinner.
It is located in the yacht club right before you go over the water on the A1A bridge.

He said it was good, but not the best he’s ever eaten.
For entrees, Shrimp & Grits. YUM!
Fried Fish sandwich
Caesar salad with a HUGE piece of blackened salmon.
I got the pasta alfredo with chicken and sausage. There were only about 2 slices of sausage, but the chicken was really good. I would definitely get this again!
No trip to St. Augustine is complete without a trip to Maple Street Biscuit Company.
It is our favorite!
Chicken Legs got the Sticky Maple
Flaky biscuit, all natural fried chicken breast, pecan wood smoked bacon, all topped with Bissell Family Farm real maple syrup.
I got the Five and Dime
Flaky biscuit, all natural fried chicken breast, pecan wood smoked bacon, a fried egg and cheddar cheese topped with our house-made sausage gravy with a kick.
It was all delicious! I couldn’t finish mine. It was too much food!
I am wishing I had the leftovers right now though! LOL!
Have you tried Cap's? It's our favorite! We also really love Sunset Grille.
We have eaten at both on previous trips. I really LOVE Cap's!
