Meow Monday – pictures of cute cats to start the week. Come see what Jack, Felix, Mack, and Mango have been up to! #cats #kittens
collage of 4 cat photos

Good Morning! It was another fun week with the cats.
The kittens are still super playful and the old boys are still super lazy!????
We only had one vet visit this past week! YAY!
We don’t go back to the vet until August for the kittens next round of shots.
Keep reading to get updates on everybody!
I hope everyone has a PURRFECT week!!

Jack
Jack went to the vet for a check-up on Friday. He had some bloodwork done to check his kidney values and anemia. His anemia is back in the normal zone. He only has to have a shot for anemia once a month now. His kidney levels were good. He will continue with sub-q fluids at home once a week and take a pill daily. The best news was that we don’t have to go back to the vet for 6 months! YAY!

Grandpa Felix
Felix is doing great! He loves spending time outside with the catnip and kittens.
He has started taking naps in our bed with Chicken Legs.
We are SO excited he is finally feeling like this is his home.

Mack
This little guy has me wrapped around his little paw.
Mack is still a love bug. His favorite things to do are eat and play with Mango.
Mack is DYING to be BFFs with Jack. He follows Jack around mimicking everything he does.
Maybe one day Jack will be his friend.
Mango
Mango is still our wild child. She is into everything!
She loves to sprint around the house and play with Mack.
We moved the cat tower outside over the weekend. OMG! She loves it!
We moved it outside because she climbs the screens chasing bugs and trying to look at the birds.
Mango loves to sit on the top of the tower and look around.
I think we are going to buy a second tower – one for inside and one for outside.

  1. So adorable! Mango is not only lovely with her pretty face, but she's in a rather rare minority. About 85% of all orange cats are male. These pix make me want to get a little orange brother for my orange tabby boy cat, Saffron Cinnamon.

    1. I only recently learned that most orange cats are male. Mango is our 4th female orange cat. Jack was our first male. I was excited to add Mango (and Mack) to our brood!

  2. Jack is so dreamy, but Mack ????????????????I just can't with how adorable he is!!! ????????????????

  3. I look forward to Monday’s to read about your kitties. I’m happy the stories are positive. You’ve suffered a lot of heartbreak over the loss of your 3 kitties over the last year. It broke my heart. I had to say goodbye to Charlie on 7/9/19. He was 21 and live right up to his last few hours with his family. He had a stroke and seizures just after 11:00 PM on 7/8/19. I was devastated and I haven’t been handling loosing him to well. Last year on 7/26/18, we had to say goodbye to his younger sister Tabitha. She had kidney disease and had a rough 8 weeks until she left the family. We are taking a break from adding pets to our family. The heartbreak and sadness of loosing our babies is too profound. Bless you and your family of orange tabbies.

    1. I'm so sorry for your losses! I know how hard it is to lose a pet. Charlie had an amazing life though – 21 years is incredible! I hope ours can live that long. Hugs to you and your family!

    2. I'm so very sorry about your boy, it really is devastating. I keep telling my husband I can't do it any more, but we keep falling in love with new babies. Be good to yourself as your heart heals.

    3. I have and have had many kitties over the years, and while I think Torties have the most personality, and grey Tabbies with white faces and boots are my most favorite color, an Orange Boy who has found his Person is truly the lovey-est. I wish you so much joy with your new crew and darling Jack. Thank you for sharing them with us!

  4. I really look forward to reading your updates each week. Very happy for Jack that he is doing so well. Thank God. I love your orange family.

  5. I so enjoy seeing your babies every Monday!! We had an orange tabby (Oliver) who passed away 2 years ago and we miss him every day. Your kitties bring me a lot of joy.

    1. It is so hard to lose a pet. I know you gave Oliver a great life! The new kittens are definitely helping mend our broken hearts.
