How To Make Fresh Hamburgers

Making hamburgers at home is very simple. My favorite way to season ground beef for burgers is to use a packet of ranch dressing mix. Once I have the ground beef seasoned. I use a kitchen scale to divide the meat into equal patties. I typically do three burgers for a pound of ground beef. Feel free to divide the meat into four patties if you prefer thinner burgers. Just make sure to cut the cooking time down a minute or two.

Once the meat is divided out, I use a burger press to make perfect burger patties. Once you make the patties, you can cook them immediately, refrigerate them overnight or freeze them for later. I love having hamburger patties in the freezer for a quick meal!

How to Cook Burgers in the Air Fryer

Cooking burgers in the air fryer is super simple. I have a Philips XXL Air Fryer. All three of my burgers fit in the basket. If your air fryer isn't as large, cook the burgers in batches. I cook the burgers for 6 to 8 minutes. Any longer and they will be overcooked. These burgers were about 1/3 pound each and were perfectly cooked at about 7 minutes. SO tender and juicy!  I added cheese to our burgers during the last minute of cooking.

There is no need to flip the burgers during the cooking time. The air fryer circulates the air all around the food so it will be evenly cooked and brown all over.

These burgers were about 1/3 pound. They were cooked to about medium. There was no pink on the inside of the burger. If you want medium-rare burgers, lower the cooking time by a minute or two.

You can freeze any leftover cooked burgers for a quick meal later! Woohoo!

    1. There was a little smoke, but it wasn't bad. It didn't linger in the house at all.
