Easy Chicken Nugget Appetizer
These Glazed Chicken Minis are incredible. I have a SERIOUS weakness for Chick-fil-a’s Chicken Minis, and these Glazed Chicken Minis are no different. Chicken nuggets wrapped in crescent rolls and topped with my favorite brown sugar glaze and baked. I can’t believe I never thought to make this before. OMG! I ate WAY too many of these yummy Glazed Chicken Minis. These ended up being my lunch when I was testing the recipe because I couldn’t stop eating them. SO good! These are delicious hot out of the oven or cooled to room temperature. This dish is perfect for tailgating, holiday parties, potlucks, and breakfast!
How to Make Glazed Chicken Minis
These Glazed Chicken Minis are very simple to make. It starts with frozen popcorn chicken nuggets. You are going to wrap each nugget in ⅓ of a crescent roll. Place the chicken in a baking pan. Next, make the sauce. Melt together butter, brown sugar, dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds. Pour the glaze over the crescent wrapped chicken and bake.
- You are going to need a total of 12 refrigerated crescent rolls.
- It is easier to cut the crescent rolls into thirds using a pizza cutter.
- I used the Southern Style Chicken Nuggets from Sam’s Club in this recipe. I also make these with Tyson Anytizers Popcorn Chicken. Any brand of popcorn chicken will work.
- There is no need to thaw the chicken before assembling the crescent bites. It will cook along with the crescent rolls.

Has anyone used pilgrim’s popcorn chicken? If so did it work? That was the only option at our grocery store today🤷🏼♀️
Any brand should work fine.
Okay, I totally made these using the popcorn chicken you recommended. My boys LOVE CFA chicken minis so I thought … hey, why not…. so I tried them for breakfast this Saturday knowing full-well they’re an appetizer, but hey… why not! The popcorn chicken pieces were actually quite large so several of them I cut in half. I also couldn’t find a smaller container of the crescent rolls so I made as many as I could. They were devoured! So, not the yeast-ish rolls like CFA has for their breakfast but everyone loved them and we will totally make them again! Thanks for another great recipe (AND THANK YOU for the video showing how you cut the triangles… why that stumped me, I have no idea! LOL)
Is there a way to use a crescent roll sheet instead of the crescent rolls? If so, how would you divide it up?
Looks delish will try soon.
This was good but I know it would have been better had I not used a “cheap” brand of popcorn chicken. Should have read the comments before I went shopping. I am not normally a brand kind of girl but it does make a difference please use a higher quality popcorn chicken if you want them to come out amazing.
Can you use chicken tenders or strips?
Sorry to ask – are the nuggets you purchase already cooked? Thank you!
I used frozen popcorn chicken.
Even though you don't have to thaw before cooking, do you think I could make this the day before I actually cook it? Thanks!
I haven't assembled this ahead of time and refrigerated overnight. I would think it would be fine. I might suggest adding the glaze the day you bake it.
My oldest kid thinks the Member's Mark southern nuggets from Sams are ALMOST as good as CFA!
They are really good!
Do you have a favorite brand of popcorn chicken? CFA chicken minis are like crack!
I have used Tyson & the Southern Style Chicken from Sam’s Club (the chick-fil-a knockoff)
