Easy Sriracha Chicken Appetizer

These Sriracha Chicken Pastry Puffs are a favorite in our house. We love them for lunch, dinner, and parties. The best part about this recipe is that there are only 5 ingredients! Chicken, sriracha, cream cheese, parmesan cheese, and puff pastry. Not only are these puffs easy to make, but they also taste fantastic! I made these for lunch last week and ate way too many! I absolutely LOVE them!!

How to Make Sriracha Chicken Pastry Puffs

As I said, pastry puffs are super easy to make. Start with mixing together cream cheese, parmesan cheese, cooked chicken, and sriracha sauce. Spread the chicken mixture onto puff pastry squares, brush with an egg wash (if desired) and bake. SO easy!

  • These puffs can be as spicy or as mild as you prefer. Just adjust the amount of sriracha to your personal preference. We used about 2 Tbsp of sriracha and it was perfect. Not too spicy and not too mild.
  • To keep the puff pastry squares sealed, dab the corners with water when pulling the corners together. You can also use toothpicks to hold the edges together.
  • Can Sriracha Chicken Pastry Puffs be Made Ahead and Frozen? Yes! These puffs are a great make-ahead snack. You can assemble the puffs and pop them in the freezer unbaked for a quick meal/appetizer later. There is no need to thaw the puffs before baking. Simply add a couple of minutes to the cooking time below.

  1. If you have block cream cheese, you can soften and then whip it, yourself. It's also cheaper than buying it already whipped.

  2. Hi…love this recipe for Sriracha Chicken Pastry Puffs, however, we do not have Whipped Cream Cheese here in Australia. What could I substitute for this in the recipe?
